Job Description Requisition Number: 42367 Department: Code Compliance Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular The Code Compliance Department is seeking to fill a Management Analyst II position in the Administration division. This position will review, analyze and audit administrative and financial operations within the Code Department; review source documents and financial transactions, review financial record keeping systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and to safeguard the department assets. The ideal candidate should be able to: Conduct internal financial audits; Standardize operating procedures compliance testing; Review journal entries; Perform a wide variety of complex analytical support which include assisting with Ad Hoc reporting and financial analysis; and analyze historical data to reveal trends; Design and implement improved systems, procedures and methods; map business processes and workflows; may conduct needs assessments and gap analysis; and Assist with the creation of measurable and useful performance measures for each division within the department. In addition, the ideal candidate will present findings and recommendations to appropriate management staff, produce project reports for the City Council and committees. The successful candidate may supervise administrative and clerical positions. The candidate will need to have extensive knowledge of Excel. Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration or related field and two years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience. Or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration or related field plus six years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience. Job Preferences: Candidates with the following will be given preference: Audit experience is highly preferred; Accounting Degree is highly desirable; Six Sigma Certification is highly desirable; and/or Internal Audit certification/experience, CFGO Certification, or governmental accounting experience.
