Job Description Requisition Number: 42394 Department: Park and Recreation Full-Time/Part-Time: Part-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular The Athletics section of the Park and Recreation Department provides a variety of recreational sport programs and facilities year-round for Fort Worth residents of all ages which help relieve stress, enhance physical conditioning and enhance quality of life. With over 60 high-level competition sports fields maintained serving over 20,000 participants yearly, the Athletics division has been perennially recognized as one of the best in the country for its programs and services. The City of Fort Worth, Park and Recreation Department, is seeking a detailed-oriented professional to fill the position of Office Assistant. The position is held at the HAWS Athletic Center of the Golf and Athletics Division. The position will work up to 20 hours a week and receive partial benefits. Job Description: The selected candidate will provide excellent customer service when answering questions and providing information via telephone, email and in-person to the public, outside agencies, co-workers, other departments and divisions. Receive, process, monitor, and record financial transactions; apply payments, reconcile account balances, and make adjustments as necessary through the use of computer software programs; maintain accurate records of all transactions, and prepare reports as required; create requisitions for annual procurement agreements, monitor billing for compliance with contractually agreed upon rates, and communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies. Collect, process, and distribute correspondence and other materials within the department. Prepare routine forms, letters, reports and other data; input records; assemble reports, copy, collate and staple documents. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two years of responsible clerical experience. Job Preferences: Preference given to the applicant with Advanced Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and proficiency with Outlook. Previous training and experience working in Oracle/ ERP Financials and Oracle /PeopleSoft will be given preference.
