Cisco Nexus Network Engineer

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Cisco Nexus Network Engineer for a 3 Month Contract-to-Hire position in Fort Worth, TX. The Cisco Nexus Network Engineer will join a team supporting an enterprise-level Cisco LAN/WAN network infrastructure. Our client recently implemented Nexus Switches and are seeking expertise with Nexus products. Candidates must have experience supporting Nexus Switches to be considered.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about network engineering. Our client offers an enterprise-level, tight knit, team environment. Candidates must be familiar with various network protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, HRSP, OSPF, TCP/IP and MPLS.


3-5+ years of experience in the following skill sets

  • WAN/LAN Networks - Design/Installation/Network Security/Troubleshooting
  • Cisco Routers - Configuration/Support/Troubleshooting
    • ASR100X, ISR43XX, ISR44XX, ISR89X
  • Cisco Switches - Configuration/Support/Troubleshooting
    • Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K; Catalyst 3850, 3750
  • Network Operating Systems/Protocols
    • Cisco Native IOS
    • IOS-XE
    • NX-OS
    • OTV
    • EIGRP - Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol
    • BGP - Border Gateway Protocol
    • HSRP - Hot Standby Router Protocol
    • OSPF - Open Shortest Path First
    • TCP/IP
    • MPLS - Multi-Protocol Label Switching
  • IPSec VPN - Configuration/Troubleshooting
  • Wireless Security
