Job Description* Responsible for advanced level design, administration, implementation and maintenance of database organizations, standards, controls procedures and documentation for the company. Principal Accountabilities * Analyzes database changes and makes suggestions to improve efficiencies.* Assists in the implementation and support of SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMA.* Designs and implements database disaster recovery: Backup, Log Shipping and other maintenance activities.* Implementation and general maintenance for each of the following: Replication, Mirroring, SQL Clustering, and Windows Clustering.* In depth performance tuning utilizing: SQL Traces, PSSDIAG, PERFMON, Resource monitor, and SQL Dynamic Management Views.* Lead/mentor to junior team members in common goals of department, and establishes escalation procedures.* Assists in the design and implementation of the following technologies: Data archiving (Informatica), EDW, Data Marts, Data extraction, Data transformation, Data Integration, Data Warehouseing, and Data Loading.* Adheres to internal policies and regulatory compliance requirements such as SOX, DCAA, Change Control, and audit reporting.* Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, and protection to eliminate any single point failure.* Develops and maintains expertise in use of automated tools for database design and implementation.* Develops, maintains and documents xp command shell, shell scripts and batch processes.* Advises applications development staff and users on data based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and operation and tuning of databases.* Assists application development staff and users on database solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases.* Lead team members for department to provide work direction and completion of assignments. Qualifications Mandatory:* DataGuard: Experience deploying, maintaining Oracle in a complex DataGuard configuration.* Shell Scripting: Experience with scripting in Linux (BASH etc..) and maintenance/implementation of CRON jobs. Must have experience automating routine Oracle tasks such as RMAN, data refreshes and audit reports* ASM: Candidates must be able to implement and deploy/remove disks into/from ASM.* EM12c: Must have extensive experience using Oracle EM12c to maintain enterprise mission critical systems. Candidates must be able to monitor/respond and tune alerts coming for the system.* Performance Tuning\Troubleshooting: Candidates must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose data from AWR\ASH and ADDM reports.* Partitioning: Candidates must be able to implement and optimize features such as table partitioning.* P-SQL: Experience developing complex SQL sprocs, triggers, cursors and code. Candidates should be able to advise various development groups best practices and standards for optimized and secure SQL code.* Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or two years on the job training.* Ability to diagnose performance of Microsoft Operating Systems (ie Windows Server 2008 32/64 Bit and R2).* Demonstrate proficiency of web application development and relational databases.* Excellent data communication and people skills.* Current on the latest database advances within industry plus familiarity with other database platforms such as Oracle, DB2, and Enterprise DB.* Basic understanding of OSI Model, Networking, Web Farms, NLB technologies, Data Marts, and Enterprise Data Warehouse Experience & Education* Minimum Seven (7) years' experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning. Ideal Candidate: Desired Qualifications * Linux Administration: Candidates must be able to administer and maintain Linux based systems. Various tasks include provisioning new disks, security and patching/maintenance of RHEL 6.4 systems.* Preferred Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) in one or more of the following DBA certification paths: Database Administrator 2008, Database Developer 2008, and/or Business Intelligence Developer 2008. - provided by DiceEM12c, Oracle, Linux, DB2, Database Administrator
