Virtuoso is a sales and marketing services company that enables luxury travel consultants to deliver unique, personalized travel experiences. As "Specialists in the Art of Travel", Virtuoso consultants develop customized client itineraries that incorporate the world's premier cruise lines, tour operators and hotel partners.Position Summary: The Air Customer Service Agent supports Virtuoso members by providing comprehensive airline quotes at negotiated higher commissions or bulk rates to increase their profitability, determining the best routing for members and consumers, and most effective use of contracts. Agent will be utilized in any of the following areas: telephones, email communications, queue placements, ticketing or quality control. Shifts range from: 12PM-9PM weekdays, 12PM-9PM (4) weekdays and (1) weekend day, 9PM-6AM (4) weekdays and (1) weekend day or 9PM-6AM any consecutive (5) days. Assigned shifts are determined by shift bid. Office is open 365 days a year. Testing will be required during interview. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Virtuoso Air requests: Build itinerary options on member requests utilizing Virtuoso Air contracts to offer upfront commission & net offers. All bookings that are built by Virtuoso will include multiple options to ensure the Virtuoso member is educated on possible flight options.Answer incoming phone calls and email (with the possibility of chat and social media) from Virtuoso members to assist with itinerary building, pricing options and contract questions. The emphasis is on pro-active selling of the Virtuoso preferred suppliers and finding the option that meets the member's needs to close the sale.Maintain up to date knowledge of Virtuoso Air Contracts with all preferred suppliers to advise Virtuoso members of their profit opportunities.Maintain personal agent queues for automated QC & schedule changes.Utilize excellent customer service skills to assist Virtuoso members in resolving issues with their customer's travel arrangements.Educational and skills requirements:High School DiplomaTravel Industry School or equivalentInternational tariff training2+ years of customer service and international travel industry experienceSabre, Apollo, & Amadeus experience or the ability to learn2+ years working with multiple international airline agreementsCTA/CTC preferredExcellent written and verbal skillsFluent in Spanish a plusAbility to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline driven environmentProficiency in MSWord, MSExcel, PowerPoint and OutlookType/Nature of Contacts:External: Daily contact with Airline sales representatives, tariff departments, reservation desks and Virtuoso members including owners, managers, and front line counselors.Internal: Daily contact with Virtuoso staff.We offer a competitive salary and full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life, a company matched 401(k) savings plan, and more.
