**Director of Business Development, Military Flight Training Services**
The Director Business Development Military Flight Training is responsible for leading the Business Development and marketing activities required for the identification, qualification, and positioning of Link s flight Training solutions, including Doss Aviation, with DoD, other US Government agencies, as well as select International market segments\\. This position reports to the Vice President of Business Development at Link and is dotted line to the President at Doss\\. This position is responsible for creating and implementing Link s overall Flight Training growth strategy\\. The Director of Business Development Military Flight Training will work in coordination with all organizational functions to carry out the pursuit and capture of flight training opportunities\\. The position requires intimate knowledge of USAF, USN, and other military customers and requires deep understanding of flight training military market needs\\.
Key position responsibilities include:
+ Identification of new business opportunities; qualifying/validating the opportunities; and developing/implementing positioning strategies to support capturing the opportunity
+ Manage the front\\-end business development activities to include customer relationship management, opportunity management and opportunity reporting and forecasting
+ Responsible for converting identified opportunities to qualified opportunities and pre\\-positioning/selling solutions to address customer requirements and problem space
+ Perform customer analysis to include, requirements analysis, customer mapping, customer decision making/acquisition process, and customer budgeting and funding analysis
+ Perform competitive analysis for identified opportunities, to include development of competitive strategies and position to win analysis
+ Implement a marketing communication plan and strategy for military flight training, to include messaging, advertising, trade show strategy, etc\\., in accordance with Divisional guidelines
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities associated with this business development and leadership position include:
+ Participate in broader Division growth strategies and business planning
+ Report to Division leadership status and required action plans with respect to the identification and qualification of opportunities
+ Develop/update and implement annual growth plan
+ Develop close working relationships across all functions of the Division organizations at both Link and Doss to include program management, Flight services, engineering and senior management
+ Develop competitive analysis, inclusive of pre PTW, to support pursuit strategies and competitive counter strategies to support bid decisions
+ Develop relationships with other companies and develop teaming relationships as appropriate
+ Prepare presentations to senior executives to support pursuit/bid decisions on identified/qualified opportunities
+ Build alliances/partnerships, to support new business pursuit strategies and trade\\-offs
+ Develop annual marketing communications plan and budget
+ Anticipate travel to Doss s Colorado location on a monthly basis \\(for approximately one week per month as necessary\\)
+ B\\.S\\. Degree in business or technical field \\(MBA preferred\\)
+ Prefer a minimum 5 years of directly related experience in developing positioning and bid strategies in the DoD and US Government market
+ Experience in customer mapping and customer analysis, to include planning and implementing objective customer assessments
+ Ability to effectively assess customer problem space and analyze solicitations
+ Experience responding to customer Request for Information with shaping strategies
+ Experience in developing Position to Win strategies and PTW
+ Experience with USAF Air Education Training Command, other DoD training commands as well as international military flight training customers
+ Strong communication skills to guide capture team and keep senior management informed on status and actions required to qualify new business opportunities
+ Highly proficient in the front end of the BD process and the related work product deliverables required to support strategy development
+ Microsoft Office Suite skills, with very high proficiency in PowerPoint a must
+ Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations to senior decision makers
+ Experience developing bid strategies for Flight training service/support solutions
+ Ability to travel 1\\-2 weeks per month
+ Experience in military flight training is required
+ Position is located in Arlington, TX
+ US Military or other USG experience highly desirable
+ Clearance: Secret \\(preferred\\) or the ability to secure a clearance
