In order to achieve the vision of Heritage Healthcare, the Rehab Director serves as an advocate, educator and mentor to interdisciplinary team members. TITLE:Rehab Director, Home Health Therapy Services ROLE OVERVIEW:The Rehab DirectorA?s primary roles are to promote the development of new partnerships with local home health agencies and facilities (SNF, ALF, ILF), maintain positive working relationships with these agencies, recruit staff and provide training and supervision for all Eclipse therapists in your region, and provide excellent patient care as a therapy provider. PREREQUISITE EXPERIENCE:Graduate level degree in clinical specialty (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP)Current state license to practice in specified discipline.Demonstrated leadership and relationship skills. PREREQUISITE SKILLS:Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and private insurance billing for home health and facility therapy services.Familiarity with use of EMR/HER.The ability to manage multiple employees and maintain positive relationships with agency contacts.Effective communication skills (verbal and written).Ability to make independent decisions after gathering information from internal and external sources.Ability to demonstrate, and provide examples of, continuous personal development and improvement in each of the essential functions listed in the section below. REPORTS TO: Regional Vice PresidentSUPERVISES: Office staff, certified occupational therapist assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, speech language pathologists, and licensed clinical social workers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals may not perform all of these duties, or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.Patient care : may change/update as needed in regards to other duties.Management and mentoring of office and therapy staff, to include yearly reviews, hiring, orientations, complaints, monitoring missed visit and FT numbers with education to staff for how to improve. Orientation of new hires.Chart/Documentation Reviews for all new hires with feedback given to them.Agency relations : visiting current agencies that we contract with to maintain and improve agency relationships.New agency computer orientation : orienting (in person) our new agencies to our computer system.Keeping in contact with the business development team via a meeting each week to discuss new marketing Weekly meeting with the Regional Vice municate effectively and proactively with RVP, therapists, agency contacts, office staff, and physicians.Develop weekly reports detailing activity in your region.Respond to staff and agency concerns/complaints in a timely manner including writing up a complaint form.Facilitate a positive environment for staff and agencies.Develop and maintain positive relationships with agencies and facilities and attending PAC meetings for agencies that request it.Develop/seek new business opportunities while growing existing business along side the Business Development Specialist.Provide relevant program knowledge, leadership, administrative guidan
