Location: Training & Conf Ctr (DFW-TRCC) Additional Locations: None Requisition ID: 11691 Job Description Contribute to innovations across the company by designing, developing, editing and revising training content designed to engage learners, meet business goals and help establish the new American Airlines culture based on the Leadership Attributes (Caring, Collaboration, Development, Results and Future). Principal Duties and Responsibilities Collaborates in needs assessments to analyze business training requests and potential solutions Consults with internal customers to develop learning objectives that accurately reflect desired results Develops content, assessments and post analysis based on identified course objectives Employs a variety of teaching strategies conducive to motivating learning including examples, practice, knowledge checks, assessments and interactivity in a way that demonstrates caring for the frontline and other team members Simplifies complex concepts/messages into easily digested and compelling content that drives results Collaborates with stakeholders through established processes to efficiently meet deadlines Stays current with instructional design and industry trends and research and is available as a development resource for others to keep the department future focused Completes other tasks as required Job Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 2 years’ experience applying instructional design to performance-based training 2 years' of technical writing experience applying training methodologies Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training Experience working with the SumTotal (American Airlines Learning Management System) Experience working with rapid content development tool(s) such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud Fluency in Spanish appreciated Factors that determine level Level of education and/or equivalent, relevant experience Proficiency Ability to work independently and/or amount of direction needed Scope and complexity of work Job Qualifications (Continued) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Creativity Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning methodologies Knowledge of airline operations Strong attention to detail Exceptional organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills Highly approachable and professional at all times Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic work environment Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing Familiarity visual design concepts Additional Locations: None Requisition ID: 11691
