As a Dannon Quality Lab Manager, you will help support the Manufacturing Operations in implementing the Dannon Quality Assurance system by leading and managing the on:site quality lab and its lab technician staff. You will report and analyze quality related trends and anticipate possible issues, support the plants objectives of safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and customer service. Additional responsibilities include:
:Lead/manage direct reports of quality lab technicians (performance management and employee development).
:Manage the lab equipment and supplies budget to ensure spending control.
:Manage Infinity QS as plant SME.
:Manage metrology program to ensure calibration compliance.
:Support plant ISO and HACCP initiatives and focus on continuous improvement.
:Participate as a member of the Food Safety Team.
:Support development of quality SOPs and ensure QARs are followed up.
:Perform analysis according to plan of control and document findings, analyze the trends and put together quality action plans.
:Ensure quality action plans for the area of responsibility are delivered.
:Train the operational teams when needed on quality related topics such as GMP, quick hits and also support the development of quality SOPs and OPL (one point lessons) and ensure that quality action reports are followed up.
:Support innovation/renovation plant trials.
The ideal candidate will have/be preferably including supervisory experience:
:Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or the equivalent.
:5:7 years preferred experience in the Dairy/Food/Beverage Manufacturing industry, preferably including supervisory experience.
:Proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world:class quality, lean systems and other continuous improvement systems.
:Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
:The ability to influence others and be a team player.
:The ability to develop and implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence in quality and continuous improvement.
:Enthusiastic, detail:oriented, motivated, organized, and possess ability to multi:task and shift priorities quickly, while maintaining control, focus and accuracy with limited supervision in a fast:paced and dynamic environment.
:The ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated quality problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
:The ability to maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
:The ability to multitask and manage priorities with allocating time to long:term, quality continuous improvement projects.
:Strong self:management skills and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
:Established project management skills. Must bring leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with various levels of plant and corporate personnel and influence others.
:Demonstrated experience using continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, poka yoke, fishbone, 5 Why, 5S,TQM, TMP, FMEA, root cause analysis, gap analysis, value stream mapping, etc).
:Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed to support 7:day per week, 24:hour per day production facilitie
