Job Description: Description Seeking a full-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician who is committed to helping the patient population (including uninsured and underinsured) reach optimal health and support the plans and operations to become a patient centered medical home. Competitive Salary & Benefits. 100% outpatient with a 4.5 day clincal schedule per week and 1 half day for admin work per week. Job Overview : * Supervises assigned midlevel providers in the conduct of clinical care and delegates authority and responsibility when and where needed * Review assigned midlevel provider's patient charts to check for quality of care * Provide medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients of the clinic * Obtain and document assessment and plan for each patient * Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals * Provide patient education as needed * Supervise patient care by non-clinic agencies such as home health care, nursing home, or hospice * Completion of appropriate paper work to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines * Participates in on-call schedule * Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer to provide leadership and medical direction for the clinic * Attend all staff, clinical, board or other special meetings as requested Excellent Benefits! This facility offers a progressive compensation and benefits package which includes: * Health, life, dental and optical insurance * Great work/life balance with generous PTO * Retirement/pension program * Annual allowance and paid time off for Continuing Education * FTCA malpractice insurance Requirements Qualifications: * Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine * Current unrestricted license from the Texas Medical Board to practice as a physician in the State of Texas * Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty * Must be registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate a practitioner in the State of Texas * Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification; ACLS, PALS preferred * Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs * Must have strong listening, written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly ** Bilingual (Eng./Span.) strongly preferred
