Surgical Services - OR Lead Full Time - Days POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the director/manager or designee, the registered nurse provides holistic, individualized patient care in response to identified needs. Additional functions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Supports the HCA Code of Conduct. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with organization mission and goals.2. Ensures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control Programs.3. Effectively performs the duties and responsibilities of a peri-operative nurse using the nursing process.8. Provides and documents quality patient care consistently according to hospital standards and policy/procedures utilizing the Meditech OR module.9. Accepts accountability and responsibility as a member of the department of nursing services.10. Participation in activities that promote quality patient care and efficient functioning of unit.11. Accountable for verifying availability of supplies, equipment, instrumentation for service area of responsibility.12. Verifies Preference cards for surgeons/procedures in service area are accurate, and up to date.13. Collaborates with OR Manager to meet orientation needs of new staff for service line.14. With guidance from OR Manager, verifies competency of all team members participating in service line area.15. Adherence to AORN guidelines and recommended Practices as a guide for patient care.16. Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of the bariatric patient.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education and Training Experience Required• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.• 5 years experience in Operating room
