Job Description:/h3:
We have a temp:to:hire job opening for a Project Estimator This position will report to the Director of Operations and is needed for project estimation. The Project Estimator will be helping with project management and purchasing. Essential job functions for this job opportunity are outlined below; additional tasks may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Review architectural drawings and kitchen equipment plans and specifications to understand what and how to estimate.
Coordinate with Project Managers on quantities and models of kitchen equipment buyouts to be specified and obtain quotes from vendors.
Obtain fabrication quotes from RSI Design Engineer/Estimator and review these individual items in conjunction with the drawing package.
Obtain exhaust hood/fire suppression system and walk:in quotes from vendors based on architectural wall plans.
Obtain delivery, installation, and service quotes for projects.
Create a master quote in AUTOQUOTES for presentation to the customer along with a job profitability analysis for internal use.
Coordinate with Project Managers and Purchasing Coordinators on the status of the estimate; ensuring that all RFI items are completed with customers and that all special component costs are included in the estimate.
Maintain status reporting on the project management dashboard of all estimates that are in process.
Coordinate with Engineering and Production Management on any technical issues that would change standard configured labor including overtime needed to meet short lead times.
Understand materials, components, and appliances related to food and beverage service operations as well as the capabilities and limitations of the company.
Develop continuous learning environment to identify new and emerging technologies related to materials and food service equipment and their application to client needs and company innovation opportunities.
Read and interpret both CAD and
SolidWorks/SheetWorks drawings to facilitate estimating manufacturing costs.
Read and understand architectural blueprints.
Manage day:to:day interactions with vendors including meetings and understand and communicate expectations and documented agreements for delivery.
Participate in regular project status meetings with sales and production teams, communicating changes and escalating issues in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate ideas, project information and instructions both written and verbal.
Perform any additional duties assigned.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years in estimating and design within a manufacturing environment
Expert competence in AutoCAD,
Excellent Communication skills
MS Office proficiency
Ability to work in fast:paced environment to meet deadlines
Monday : Friday, 7:30 am : 4:30 pm
