Job Description:/h3:

Nature of Work

The General Manager assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. The objective is to leave guests with a lasting impression, ensuring they will return again and again.



Qualifications

Must be a team player

Must be a hard worker who can handle multi:tasking in a fast paced, service environment

Must be able to handle stress and not allow it to impact thinking or attitude

Must work well under pressure

Good organizational skills

Must take the initiative and have strong leadership skills

Must have strong communication skills

Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time

Must be at work, ready to work at scheduled time

Ability to remain professional and maintain a positive attitude even during difficult situations

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Previous experience in a management position in a high volume, high energy restaurant required



Duties and Responsibilities

Provide the utmost level of customer service in order to ensure the satisfaction of guests, resulting in repeat customers

Responsible for taking a fine dining mentality and translating it to an upbeat environment

Interview and hire employees, supervise and develop them, and when necessary, terminate employees

Train, schedule, and discipline employees, communicating job expectations and enforcing policies and procedures

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment

Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and provide direction to all employees

Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant

Prepare cash drawers

Coordinate operation of the restaurant during each scheduled shift

Manage staff and provide feedback

Respond to guest complaints

Comply with all health and safety regulations

Responsible for on the spot decision making
