DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
An OR Intern:Fellow's work in the BNSF Operations Research and Advanced Analytics Group may include, but is not limited tothe following:
:Work with key stakeholders and subject:matter:experts to understand business problems and consider solution approaches
:Research and explore novel computer vision and deep learning techniques for detection of defects in the rail image from geo car
:Develop and implement state of art computer vision algorithm to build an in:house customizable image processing system
:Share results with key stakeholders
Time/Location
:This position requires an onsite presence in our Fort Worth office.
:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, is preferred.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
:Masters or Ph.D. students pursuing a major or minor in one of the following: Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science. Ph.D. students are preferred.
:An overall GPA of 3.0 is required. An overall GPA of 3.5 is preferred.
:Strong computer vision and machine learning (deep learning) background.
:Good understanding of convolution neural network and related deep learning model.
:Hands:on experience with OpenCV (Python and C++ version), Tensorflow, Keras
:Experience with object detection framework (like YOLO and SSD) will be a big plus
:Familiar with Linux environment
:Strong interpersonal and communication skills
:Good computer programming skill : e.g., C/C++, python, Java or any other object:oriented programming languages
