Salary Range:55,600:83,600
:Perform month:end closing processes for BNSF and subsidiaries, including analysis of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow activity
:Research technical accounting guidance and apply GAAP measures to accounting issues
:Professionally interact with Sr. Management, other departments and outside parties in response to questions and requests for information
:Forecasting and planning of income statement and balance sheet accounts, including preparation monthly account reconciliations
:Internal reporting functions including monthly financial report preparation and administration
:External reporting functions for SEC, STB and AAR
:Communicate and present financial results to management on a regular basis
:Special projects
Basic Qualifications:
:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business related field is required
:Minimum of 1 year of experience with BNSF's Finance or Audit departments or the accounting / finance / audit department of another company is required
:Working knowledge of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
:Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
:Work independently, including task coordination and decision making, as well as in a team environment
:Exercise sound judgment and problem solving skills
:Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
:Past experience in public accounting firm
:Knowledge of SAP
Successful candidate must be a self:starter, who is detail oriented, has the ability to meet deadline:oriented tasks, possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational and analytical skills, and facilitate and organize team efforts to accomplish common goals. Applicant must be able to adjust readily to multiple demands and shifting priorities and work well in a team environment.
