Job DescriptionAireServ Heating & CoolingResidential & Light Commercial Service Technician Needed in our Granbury & Waco Divisions Primarily responsibilities include: Service, diagnose and repair residential and light commercial comfort systems. ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 1. Understands basic refrigeration cycle to include: identifying components in refrigeration circuit, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the refrigeration circuit, using digital manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging. 2. Understands basic electron theory, how electricity travels, AC and DC currents, single phase, and three phase circuits, and series and parallel circuits. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams. Understanding of Ohms Law. Ability to use multi-meters to read voltage, current and resistance values. 3. Understands the process of treating air so as to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution. 4. Understands basic heating cycle to include: identifying components in heating system, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot. Understands the theory of combustion and how it relates to combustible fuels such as LPG and Natural Gas 5. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings. 6. Must be able to troubleshoot control voltage and high voltage electrical circuits. ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have written communications skills Must possess time management skills Must have oral communications skills Must be teachable and coachable Must be able to effectively deal with difficult people Must have excellent organizational skills Must be able to work well with co-workers while promoting teamwork Utilize technology such as iPads, Laptops and Digital Devices Report to Client Care after job completion, and communicate effectively in digital reports. Must be able to build client loyalty for the company. Provide information to management on training needs and courses of interest. Responsible for the daily preparation of the parts and tools for each day's activities. Complete work in a timely manner. Coordinate with dispatcher for the use of company tools and ensure they are returned to the office in a timely manner. Participate in companywide internal meetings as required. Maintain company tools in a professional manner, keep your service vehicle serviced and clean. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have an HVAC Degree and/or certificate from an accredited trade school or university. EPA Certification. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent logistical knowledge of service area and surrounding areas. Must be able to drive to local job sites on a daily basis Must have a Valid Texas Drivers License, Social Security Card and Speak fluent English. Must be felony free and clean driving record On-call and overtime hours as needed Good hygiene and cleanliness is required at all times Must adhere to the company uniform policy Maintain a clean vehicle and make office aware of maintenance issues Follow rules and regulations as described in the company Handbook We are a drug and tobacco free company.
