Join a new and growing systems product development team for Homeland Security Programs This position is for an Integrated Fixed Towers (IFT) Deployment Engineer at Elbit Systems of America (ESA). The position is based in Fort Worth Texas, and requires frequent travel to the border between the United States and Mexico ranging across multiple states.Responsible for developing the right sensors for System Deployment Plans (SDP) for fixed surveillance towers with surveillance cameras, radars, laser range finders, laser illuminators, microwave communications, solar power systems, generators, and smart fencing in remote areas along the United States border with MexicoResponsible for leading the development of and submitting detailed written System Deployment Plans, including construction drawings, electrical drawings, communications analysis, structural analysis, temperature analysis, power analysis, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) plans, Storm Water Pollution Plans (SWPP), and Spill Response Plans (SRP)Responsible for presenting System Deployment Plans to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at Deployment Design Meetings (DDM) and Deployment Readiness Meetings (DRM)Responsible for coordinating with engineers, schedulers, procurement personnel, subcontract managers, quality assurance personnel, and construction subcontractorsResponsible for monitoring deployment status, addressing deployment risks, and serving as a deployment Subject Matter Expert (SME)Responsible for leading the development of and submitting Deployment Closeout Packages (DCP) with as:built drawings and deployment quality documentation. Activities include:Developing System Deployment Plans (SDP) Reviewing civil engineering drawingsReviewing communications analysisReviewing electrical drawingsReviewing structural analysisReviewing temperature analysisReviewing power analysisReviewing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) PlansReviewing Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP) PlansReviewing Spill Response Plans (SRP)Developing and updating deployment schedules Identifying and managing deployment risk Leading Deployment Design Meetings (DDM) Leading Deployment Readiness Meetings (DRM) Leading weekly deployment hot wash meetings with CBP and subcontractorsDeveloping Deployment Closeout Packages (DCP)Reviewing as:built civil engineering drawingsReviewing deployment quality artifacts Authorities:Manage multiple subcontractors during the deployment effortLead Systems Engineer for one or more deployments Minimum Qualifications: Education:A BachelorA?s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related technical field is required. A minimum of 5 years engineering management experience is required. A minimum of 5 years systems engineering experience is required. Engineering project management experience is preferred.
